Last day to withdraw is Friday
As the semester is entering the final stretch, remember that you have the opportunity to withdraw from a class with a “W” by this Friday.
If you feel that the class is not going well for you, and will not get better by the end of the semester, consider withdrawing for a few reasons.
Especially for your freshman or sophomore years, your GPA hangs in the balance. All it takes is one class to set the tone for the rest of your college career.
Whether it’s the teacher/student compatibility is off, the class is harder than you thought it would be or any other reason, you might consider withdrawing to save your GPA to avoid spending the next few years working to make up for it.
The important thing to remember is that there is no reason to feel bad about having to withdraw. There are several reasons that the class isn’t working for you, and it’s better to back out while you can, then push through and suffer later.
Take the time and think through your decision. If you need to withdraw, do it! Save your GPA and try again next semester. There’s nothing to worry about, and you’ll feel better for it later down the road.
